The RAAF Darwin Golf Club was first established in 1970 using land to the west of the Darwin airport. Volunteers constructed the course from humble beginnings into the high quality nine hole layout that exists today.

The club is a Defence Welfare Club that provides golfing facilities at an affordable rate to Defence members and their families. The club boasts a strong Defence and civilian membership which is renowned for its social atmosphere.

The main handicapped golf competition is held on Saturdays with nine hole competitions held on Tuesday and Thursday afternnoons and social play all day Sunday. (see competitions page)

Interservice Competition
Each year in October, the RAAF Darwin Golf Club hosts the ADFGA NT Inter-Service competition, where Australian Defence Force members come together from all around the NT to compete, an annual event that fosters camaraderie and friendly rivalry between Navy, Army and Air Force.

Army won the 2025 NT Inter-Service Golf Championship, making it 3 years in a row.
